There are many empty nesters out there who are contemplating downsizing their homes. There are many reasons for downsizing, the most common being the children have moved out on their own. Perhaps you are looking to stay in the same town or remain near the community you have grown to love over the years, or perhaps you want to move to the New England waterfront. Building a modular home may be a great choice for you. We have many styles and floor plans that will fit your needs. And building a modular home is cost effective, efficient and downsizing can save you tax dollars.

A ranch style home, our favorite being the Britania, offers you the style you have grown accustomed to with a floor plan to match. With 1750 square feet, three bedrooms and two bathrooms, you will still have the space you are used to and the room for visitors or grandchildren.

If it is the waterfront that draws you, we have vacation home floor plans to suit your needs as well. The Alpine is one of our most popular vacation home floor plans. With windows for the view, 1064 square feet of space, and 2 bedrooms you can enjoy your new home in class and style. Including a large great room for entertaining that still feels cozy when it is just the two of you; this home offers loads of natural light.

Then of course, we have the traditional cape. Two of our cape style floor plans, the Ashland (950 sq ft) and the Brittany (1000 sq ft), both offer unfinished upstairs for storage or to be molded into a space of your choosing. Both styles offer dormers upstairs and all the charm of a cape style home.

Feel free to ask us about any of these style homes or any other styles that we offer. And remember, at Custom Modular Homes of New England, we can create the home you are looking for within the price parameters you require.
