Modular Homes MA, NH - The recent nationwide housing slump, has had many ripple affects, it has affected the home construction industry, putting many builders and industry sub-contractors in very tight financial times.
This trend is not so true in the modular homes industry. The demand for new homes is still high, and as homebuyers increasingly seek alternatives to rising new home prices and interest rates they are choosing what is proving to be a growing alternative; modular homes. Modular home building is on the rise and is becoming more popular with homebuilders and homeowners annually.
As the public becomes more educated in modular and factory built homes, perception towards the industry has changed. More people understand the structural, construction and cost benefits of modular homes. Modular homebuilders are providing solutions to the need for new housing which is more affordable. They are doing this by using advanced engineering and building systems and providing quality, attractive, and functional home designs at an affordable cost and in a fraction of the usual time.

Even though building your dream house may seem a lot more difficult than looking for a house that is already built and ready to live in, it can actually be very rewarding.
Pros for Building a new home:
You can customize/personalize you new home in any way you want
You can pick layout/floor plan that suits you
Your home may be more resalable in the future because of the customizations
You home will meet the most up to date building codes and therefore will be more resalable.
You can hire a professional (like CMHNE) to oversee the day to day issues of building a new home.

Custom Modular Home Floor Plans:
Many people have a misconception that modular homes are cookie cutter in style. But, did you know that modular homes can be custom designed? We have home plans available for all types of homes, which are designed by builders and architects in order to maximize space and practical use. But if there is something you would like to add, change, or omit, CMHNE can make that adjustment. We can also custom design a floor plan for you and your family, from Ranches and Capes, to Colonials and Vacation homes, to multi-family. Although we have the floor plans available for many of the “in-stock” homes, modular homes are not limited in design and can range from 1000 square feet to 4000 sq feet and up. Additionally, if you already have a floor plan but have opted against a traditional stick built home, many floor plans can be modified to accommodate a modular home. CMHNE can custom build your affordable, luxury, dream home.

Ocean Front Properties
Traditionally, modular homes are placed on a conventional poured concrete foundation with a full depth basement; however this is not an option at the oceanfront. Homes in this environment are required to be elevated above the dunes, so as to withstand potential storm surges. In these instances we utilize elevated platforms either of wood or steel pilings. CMHNE currently has a home that requires these steel pilings under construction on Plum Island.
